We are creating two leafy greens toppers (salad dressings). This is an easy way to increase plant-points in every salad we eat each day, as well as get some special 'power' ingredients into our recipes.
GUIDANCE FOR BOTH RECIPES BELOW
Cut all ingredients into small pieces
REMEMBER TO CHOP AND STOP! (let those alliums breathe a bit!)
Place all ingredients in a large blending appliance of choice
Cover with cool water
Blend in your blending appliance of preference (I run mine twice on the 'sauce' setting to ensure that all the ingredients are fully blended and there are no remaining chunks)
Enjoy these sauces as salad dressings to bathe your greens in a rich nutritional bath of probiotics, omega 3, and beans!
CILANTRO/LIME SAUCE
1.5 C Cannelini Beans (white beans or northern beans)
1 Avocado
1-2 Fresh Jalapeno Pepper (depending on your spice palette)
1/2 C Fresh Cilantro
1/2 C Lime Juice (with the pulp)
1/4 C Red Onion
1 TBSP Sweet Miso Paste
1 TBSP Hemp Seed
1 TBSP Fresh Turmeric Root
Water to the top!
Spices:
1 TBSP Black Pepper Powder (optional - in case you want more spice!)
DILL/LEMON SAUCE
1.5 C Chickpeas
1 Avocado
5 Garlic Cloves
1/2 C Fresh Dill
1/2 C Lemon Juice (with the pulp)
1/4 C White Onion
1 TBSP Sweet Miso Paste
1 TBSP Hemp Seed
Water to the top!
Spices:
1 TBSP Mustard Powder
