Liz Lena

6D Community Researcher & Program Developer

I describe myself as a life-long consumer of knowledge. I graduated from nursing school in 1973 as a Registered Nurse (RN). I worked as an RN until I returned to college and received my BA in 1986. I continued to work in nursing until I decided to change lanes in the 1990's and completed my studies for a paralegal certificate, which I used for my work in the medical-legal field until I retired in 2023.

In 2011 I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. Between the multiple medications and inactivity, I began to put on weight. After the death of my husband in 2018 I was lost. I started having one health problem after another until I became afraid to go to another doctor for fear a new diagnosis would be added. I started looking for answers outside of traditional medicine.

I became a self-taught nutrition geek and completely transformed my life. Slowly, but surely, I lost a lot of weight, was able to remove all of my RA medications as well as many other medications. I was lucky enough to have been introduced to Sia and 6D living several years ago and the rest, as they say, is history. I love the community I have found here and all the people who have so enriched my life. My previous careers, having instilled in me a love of research and knowledge, now enable me to help continue to fulfill my innate curiosity to learn more as I help to develop new programs for the 6D Community through research and collaboration with other team members.
